Configuration Manager battery management systems

Do you want to join us in the transformation to become a leading supplier of sustainable transport solutions through electrification?

Electrification is a cornerstone of Scania’s commitment to Science Based Targets. The Electrification Management System is the glue that keeps all of the new cutting edge EV systems and component together. This inhouse developed embedded management system handles thermal management, auxiliary VCB components, and charging control.

Are you eager to develop your leadership skills and to streamline software development? Then this is the job for you!

Your role

As a Configuration Manager (CM) you are responsible for release planning, communication with stakeholders at all stages, implementation of releases and creating and monitoring services, pipelines, scripts and other components. Of course you will do a lot of this work together with your colleagues within the CI/CD team, but you will be the spokesperson. You act on deviations and lubricate the machinery to serve all teams with effective releases at agreed times. It takes accuracy, perseverance and the ability to prioritize correctly to succeed.

The organisation where you will have an important role

Within the section we develop Battery and Electrification Management Systems for Scania and other TRATON brand trucks and busses, organised in several teams with different competences and areas of responsibility.

Our teams are diverse and dedicated to perform major achievements in a lean but growing agile organization that deliver in short cycles. We are eager to contribute to a better world and be part of the delivery of outstanding products, right in the forefront of driving the shift!

The team you will be a part of is our new "the CI/CD team". This team will play a central part in forming and streamlining our development process, tools and methods to stay ahead of the competition.

Your profile

We are looking for an experienced application Software and Function developer with high knowledge of controls that is eager to work closely to the end product.

You have previous experience from system development and release work without having to be an expert. We think you have a good understanding and experience in programming. It is highly meritorious if you have worked with techniques like Jenkins, Python, Gitlab/Perforce, Jira and C# .

Great emphasis will be placed on your ability to be one of those who lead us towards a new way of working and modern technologies as the requirements for our release management change. You will collaborate with other units within Scania and our development teams to develop best practices for the release process and CI/CD. We want to hear examples of how you have succeeded in change management together with others.

Your personal characteristics are probably flexible, humble, quality-conscious, analytical, motivated to take on new challenges, grit and a sense of humour. You are also passionate & purpose driven – you want to join us on the journey of electrifying Scania and Traton!

Since you will be working in a global environment you express yourself fluently in English, both in speech and writing. Swedish is a merit, but not a must.

As a base you have an academic technical degree, or have gained the knowledge through your work experience.
