We are now looking for a passionate Head of Projects, Safety & Security in the Area of “EE Applications” to be part of this exciting change journey, shaping the future of Group R&D.

Position Details

• What kind of position/job is this? This is a full-time/permanent position within the TRATON Group R&D Area EE Applications. 
• Where is the job located?  Global posting and global role: The role offers the flexibility to be based in any of the locations where the Group R&D organization operates (Munich or Nuremberg, Germany; Södertälje, Sweden; Lisle or Rochester Hills, USA). 
• Who will I be reporting to? Functional reporting line – Section Head Motion Control Enablement; Disciplinary reporting line depending on location and respective legal entity.

About us 

Our unit functions as an enablement team for the entire domain, supporting over 500 employees working with electrics, electronics, software, and vehicle functions. We are responsible for managing functional safety and cyber security within the motion control domain for our vehicles.

You will become part of a management team that prioritizes teamwork, inclusivity, and ongoing development, with a strong emphasis on supporting our staff, enhancing our products, and refining our operational methods.

Your tasks

As a manager, you will be a servant leader, fostering collaboration and communication within the unit, which includes members based in Sweden and Germany. 

You will oversee the following areas: 

• Leading Functional Safety and Cyber Security work in the development of both hardware and software components, acting as the cross-functional connection in an agile work environment.
• Responsible for ensuring compliance for over 30 motion control systems and generations.
• Creating and implementing safety plans and procedures for functional safety and ISO26262 compliance.
• Developing Safety Cases to ensure ISO26262 compliance.
• Developing and maintaining Cyber Security procedures and guidelines.
• Being the Motion Control system interface towards TRATONS’s centralized method development for the Functional Safety and Cyber Security area

• Your background includes expertise in one or more key areas such as:
  • Embedded SW development
  • Functional Safety management
  • Cyber Security management
• You communicate clearly and lead with confidence, especially in a global context.
• Fluency in English is required, while Swedish or German is a strong plus.
