Assistance Centre Manager

Scania Assistance is a support company which customers call when something unexpected happens to their vehicle or engine and that requires urgent action. Scania Assistance is part of Commercial Operations. We have 8 Assistance Centres globally where of 6 strategically located in Europe. The centre in Brussels supports customers from, and workshops located in, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and Morocco.

Commercial Operations has the global responsibility for strategies, operations and control of the Scania owned sales and services companies and business units.

Commercial Operations provides support to the Scania owned as well as to the independent franchise network through its support organisations.

 An opportunity as Assistance Centre Manager in Brussels is now available

 The position provides an excellent opportunity for someone interested in managing a service operation, providing fast quality solutions to Scania customers. We are looking for someone who thrives on problem solving, who is flexible and who has experience from a multicultural environment. You will be part of a very vibrant multicultural management team all focused on customer service excellence.

You will be responsible to ensure that the Assistance service in the region is delivered according to the company’s common standards and practices and in line with the requirements for customer service. You will work close to the Business Units and their network in the region in order to support their efforts to service customers but also to monitor their performance and implement improvement measures.

The role includes responsibility for staff and the management of daily operations. A certain amount of travel is required.

You will be part of the Global Assistance Centres management team working together reviewing and improving the Assistance service.

 We believe that you have a strong passion for customer service and problem solving. You have previous documented experience in leading and building teams. You must be service minded with an excellent ability to communicate. You have experience in managing an operation including financial responsibility. You must be fluent in English, French and Dutch.

Experience from the heavy vehicle industry and 24/7/365 service centre environment is a benefit.

 The home location will be in Brussels. The employment is a local contract.
