Real Estate and Purchasing Manager

About company

Scania’s purpose is to drive the shift towards a sustainable transport system—creating mobility that is better for business, society and the environment. We are looking for an experienced Real Estate and Purchasing Manager to manage Scania Lithuania’s premises, real estate projects, and purchasing activities. You will also contribute to strategic projects and purchasing initiatives across the Baltic region.

Your responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate real estate and purchasing projects in Lithuania;
  • Manage the maintenance, renovation, reconstruction and development of Scania facilities, including sustainability-related projects;
  • Ensure that Scania’s premises are safe, functional, sustainable and properly maintained;
  • Balance Scania’s global requirements with local business needs, quality standards and financial considerations;
  • Regularly review and visit Scania facilities across Lithuania and, when required, travel to Latvia and Estonia;
  • Participate in the implementation and continuous improvement of the Baltic purchasing strategy, processes and procedures;
  • Support departments with purchasing expertise, sourcing activities, supplier management and the selection of appropriate purchasing tools;
  • Identify opportunities to improve quality, cost-effectiveness, sustainability and long-term business value.

What we expect from you

  • Previous experience in real estate, facility management, or construction project management;
  • Experience in purchasing, sourcing, supplier management or contract negotiations;
  • Higher education in real estate, construction, engineering, purchasing, business management or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience;
  • A proactive and practical, hands-on approach;
  • Strong ownership, communication and stakeholder-management skills;
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously;
  • A commercial mindset and the ability to balance quality, operational requirements and financial considerations;
  • The ability to work effectively with both local and international stakeholders;
  • Fluent spoken and written Lithuanian and English;
  • Willingness to travel within Lithuania and, when required, to Latvia and Estonia;

The following experience would be considered an advantage:

  • Experience in the development, construction or modernisation of truck workshops, service facilities or similar commercial premises;
  • Experience with the reconstruction or modernisation of heating, cooling, ventilation, lighting or electrical systems;
  • Practical knowledge of DALI, building management systems (BMS), or battery-electric vehicle infrastructure and electrification projects;
  • Interest in innovative building-management technologies and modern e-mobility solutions.

What Scania offers

  • A competitive remuneration package, including a company car;
  • An impactful role combining real estate, purchasing and sustainability;
  • Continuous training and development opportunities, as well as international career possibilities within the Scania Group;
  • Health and family-related benefits supporting your well-being;
  • A loyalty programme and regular company events;
  • A hybrid working model, depending on the nature of ongoing activities and projects;
  • The opportunity to contribute to sustainable transport and the green transition;
  • Monthly gross salary: EUR 4200-5200

The final offer will depend on the selected candidate’s experience and competencies.
