Financial Controller

Financial Controller - Scania Financial Services 


Salary: From £70,000 plus an excellent benefits package
Location: Milton Keynes /Hybrid
Working Hours: Monday – Friday 

 

About the role: 

As Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing the Finance and Accounting operations team at Scania Financial Services. Ensuring resources are allocated accordingly, reporting deadlines are achieved and assisting in month-end reporting along with reviewing and approving journals, payments and invoices. 
As part of the Operational Management team, you will assist with internal and external audit reviews as the Accounts representative. This role reports into the Finance Director at Scania Financial Services. 
For this role, you must be a qualified accountant. 

 

In this role you will: 


•    Lead & Coach – lead, coach and oversee the professional development of the department, both individually and corporately. 
•    Oversee Financial Control - lead quantitative and qualitative analytical work to produce business insights and drive sound decision making on key business issues. Coordinate month end, all departmental budgets, projections, and forecasting activities.
•    Own Accounting & Reporting - designing, implementing, and maintaining financial management and reporting systems as well as administrative business processes, to support the effective use of financial resources.
•    Promote Continuous Improvement - proactively challenge overall business performance and processes, aid in internal and external audits, and initiate improvement proposals.
•    Communicate & Influence – able to demonstrate sound business understanding, confidently communicate insights and positively influencing stakeholders, external customers, and the broader business.
