Working Hours: Monday to Friday

An exciting opportunity for an experienced procurement leader to join Scania as our Head of Procurement. Reporting into the Director of Operations you will play a pivotal role within our organisation, having a direct impact on how we do business, our efficiency and who we do business with. You will be the owner of our procurement strategy, responsible for the procurement team and our policies and processes.

About you:
• Procurement expertise – a proven track record within procurement is required for this role.
• Leadership – the ability to lead a team and the business to deliver against our procurement goals.

In this role you will:
• Be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies to ensure the cost-effective acquisition of goods and services for Scania GB.
• Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with company objectives.
• Mentor and manage the procurement team to achieve departmental goals.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders, managing supplier relationships and stakeholder expectations.
• Collaborate closely with Volkswagen, MAN, and other group brands to identify opportunities for joint procurement, share best practices, and ensure alignment with group-wide initiatives.
• Manage procurement budgets and report on key performance indicators.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function.
• Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Oversee the sourcing, negotiation, and contracting of suppliers to ensure best value, quality, and reliability.
