Why our Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) Department here at Scania Financial Services?

A Quote from Ben Edwards, our Head of GRC.
“GRC exists to equip the business to effectively manage its risks, supporting and enabling the pursuit of organisational goals and objectives. We are a dynamic and professional team who work closely with management to inform, guide and challenge. Strong cross-functional relationships and trust are key drivers of our success, and I am proud of the department’s reputation for competence and integrity.

For me, the most exciting aspect of the job is being able to “look under the bonnet” of the business, to challenge the status quo and to see the impact that our work has on the organisation’s success.”

•    Review and monitor internal fraud prevention processes, identifying high-risk areas and recommending continuous improvements to mitigate potential risks and respond to changes in legislation.
•    Provide expert advice and second-line monitoring of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance, ensuring the company’s policies and reporting mechanisms remain effective and up-to-date.

About you:

•    Governance & Compliance Knowledge - Strong understanding of corporate governance principles, company law, and regulatory requirements
