Scania Baltics is looking for Baltic Compliance Officer
In this expert role, you will lead the implementation and monitoring of the Compliance Management System in accordance with Scania standards. You will provide independent compliance advice, promote a positive culture of integrity, risk management, and encourage a “speak up” environment.
Your main tasks include:
- Compliance System Management: Establish, maintain, and continuously improve the Scania Compliance System within the Baltic Business Unit (BU).
- Standards Implementation: Ensure effective implementation of Scania Group Policies and applicable regulations at the business unit level, embedding them into local operations and practices.
- Local Procedure Review: Regularly review and update local procedures to confirm alignment with Group requirements and applicable local regulations.
- Culture of Integrity: Foster and promote a culture of integrity across the organization.
- Compliance Handling: Oversee proper handling and direction of potential compliance violation reports.
- Employee Training: Conduct training sessions to educate employees on compliance standards, policies and best practices.
- Advisory Support: Provide independent compliance advice to Baltic BU management and employees, particularly in anti-corruption, antitrust, and anti-money laundering.
- Standards Monitoring: Ensure adherence to relevant international and local compliance standards, while continuously developing professional skills.
- Legal support: Provide legal support to Baltic BU management.

- Qualifications: a higher university degree in Law, Economics, Business Administration or equivalent.
- Regulatory Expertise: Strong knowledge of EU and Baltic-specific compliance regulations (GDPR, AMLD, MiFID II).
- Risk Management: Skilled in risk assessment, internal controls, and conducting compliance audits.
- Ethics & Integrity: Commitment to ethical standards, anti-bribery practices, and corporate governance.
- Analytical Skills: Proficient in data analysis and root cause identification for compliance issues.
- Communication & Training: Experience in developing compliance policies, reporting, and staff training. Fluency in English and Estonian required.
- Project Management: Strong organizational and stakeholder management skills.
- Mobility: Willingness to travel across the Baltic countries.
