We are looking for a Media Planning Specialist to join our Regional Marketing organization (Baltic and Nordic countries, UK) and help ensure our marketing campaigns reach the right audience through effective, data-driven media strategies.

Your role

As a Media Planning Specialist, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimising media plans that support Scania's marketing objectives. You will work closely with colleagues across markets and communities, as well as external partners, to deliver impactful campaigns and maximize return on investment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing media plans aligned with marketing goals and target audience needs.
  • Selecting and recommending the most effective media channels across digital and social platforms.
  • Coordinating media buying and campaign execution together with internal stakeholders and external agencies.
  • Supporting budget allocation decisions to optimize media investments.
  • Monitoring campaign performance and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Providing expert guidance on media planning and paid media best practices.
  • Managing user access, permissions, and platform administration for advertising platforms.
  • Conducting market and audience analysis to inform media planning decisions.
  • Collaborating with marketing teams across markets to ensure integrated campaign delivery.  

 

Who you are

We believe you are a structured and analytical marketing professional with experience in media planning, media buying, or digital advertising.

You likely bring:

  • Experience in media planning, media buying, or a similar role within a marketing department or agency.
  • Strong analytical skills and confidence working with campaign and performance data.
  • Understanding of digital and social media advertising platforms.
  • Experience in managing budgets and optimizing media investments.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple teams and markets.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
  • Curiosity to stay updated on new trends, technologies, and best practices within media and advertising.
  • Experience working in an agency would be taken as a bonus.
