Software Asset Manager
Scania is undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses, and engines to a provider of complete and sustainable transport solutions. We are adding new markets and increasing our collaboration with brands and companies in the TRATON Group, creating a truly global TRATON Group organisation.
Our organisation
Scania IT is transitioning its IT Service Delivery from delivery within the Scania Group to delivery within TRATON Group. At the same time the infrastructure gets more complex, software spend increases and journey towards Cloud/SaaS continues. We now require a senior expert who will take responsibility for one or several of our publishers in the portfolio. The work requires in-depth understanding of modern infrastructure and profound experience of Software Asset Management.
Your role
In this position, you will join the Scania IT Software Asset Management team (IFC) and work in an international environment closely collaborating with and coordinating across the global IT-community and corporate functions within the Scania Group and TRATON Brands.
Your main responsibilities

Manage the integration of group companies into centralized contracts.

Optimize software costs through methods such as software metering and license metric adjustments.

Handle demand management.

Design, implement, and monitor standardized processes to ensure software license compliance.

Prepare complete and accurate license balance reports.

Generate compliance reports and perform ad hoc evaluations.

Process audit requests.

Identify measures in case of deviations, including optimization, over-licensing, and under-licensing.

Serve as the expert in using Software Compliance tools (e.g Flexera) and train others.

Provide general software license support.
Your Profile
You have deep understanding of Software Asset Management about technical infrastructure regarding clients, servers, hyperscalers, virtualisation and container technologies to manage elevated risk publishers. The complexity and scope of the work requires significant analytical skills, ability to see the bigger picture and do prioritisation.
You further have a strong flexibility, excellent communication skills and are sensitive for the cultural differences in a large global organisation.
You hold an academic degree or possess equivalent work experience in a field relevant to this position.
