Job Responsibilities

 

Your tasks include, among other things:


With us, you will become an important part of one of the occupational health service's cross-functional customer teams consisting of various competencies, such as occupational health and safety engineers, ergonomists, occupational health nurses, psychologists, and occupational physicians. You will guide and support our operations within systematic occupational health and safety work, provide advice and support to managers, occupational safety coordinators, and safety representatives.


The Work Environment Engineer also participates in investment and change projects, focusing on the safety of technical equipment and workplace design. You will also initiate, conduct, and participate in measurements, risk assessments, investigations, surveys, and the development of control documents within the occupational health and safety area.


Compile and conduct training within the occupational health and safety area, as well as participate in the development and implementation of methods, processes, and working methods.


Monitor and communicate interpretations of regulations.
 

Who You Are

We see that you have an adequate education as an occupational health and safety engineer or occupational health and safety specialist, or have acquired equivalent knowledge through longer work experience with continuous competence maintenance efforts. If you have experience from the manufacturing industry and work with the implementation of ISO 45001, it is clearly meritorious.


To succeed in the work, you need to be curious, driven, and structured, as well as confident in yourself. You have a good ability to collaborate, cooperate, and communicate. You have good pedagogical skills and work through a non-prestigious and trust-based approach.


You have the ability to adapt based on prevailing conditions and quickly familiarize yourself with new contexts. We assume that you have a great interest in working based on business benefits and value creation for our clients, to promote a healthy work culture.

 

  • You are used to and comfortable with digital solutions and environments.
  • You have good language and writing skills in Swedish and English.

Now, there is an exciting opportunity for an Work Environment Engineer to join Scania's global Health, Safety, and Environment organization. The organization works with, among other things, governance and support within health and occupational safety at corporate, global, and local levels. The headquarters is in Södertälje, and the organization is represented at production sites in Södertälje, Oskarshamn, Luleå, Zwolle in the Netherlands, and Angers in France.
