We are currently looking for an Automation Engineer to work with projects and support the production units in Södertälje. Take the chance to become the next member of the SCADA team at Production and Logistics IT!

We are responsible for implementation, run and maintain, supporting and developing local applications for our shared SCADA systems at Scania’s various production units in Södertälje.

The assignment is stationed in Södertälje with onsite presence both in production and in office.

 

Your tasks and responsibility

  • Implement and configure our solutions within the SCADA area

  • Act as the link between SCADA and surrounding techniques such as MES, machines, networks etc.

  • Manage and maintain the PLC and SCADA solutions at our Production Units

  • Cooperate and exchange knowledge with SCADA implementation teams spanning different geographical areas

  • Participate in Scania’s change projects to secure the quality of our deliveries

Your profile

We believe that you have a degree in the Automation area and preferably some experience in similar roles. You understand what it means to support a producing unit and be comfortable with various tasks in the area. It´s a merit with experience in PLC/SCADA systems, particularly Siemens products such as Ignition, SIMATIC WinCC, and TIA Portal or similar. Experience with SQL servers is a plus.

You possess analytical skills, like to dive into technical problems and see the big picture. You are responsible, value good collaboration, socially skilled, quality-conscious and share your knowledge with others. You might see yourself taking on a more leading role within the area in the future.

Additionally, you should be proficient in Swedish and English both in speech and writing.
