Education and Training Strategist

Scania's R&D department is transforming to become part of TRATON Group R&D. TRATON is a group of strong brands with a shared mission: transforming transportation together to create the future of sustainable transport solutions. Within TRATON, we include MAN, Scania, Volkswagen Truck & Bus, and International. As part of a global team of industry experts, you get to think bigger, experience more, and reach further. Together, we have the power to transform transportation.

Our values – customer first, respect, team spirit, responsibility, and elimination of waste – are at the heart of everything we do.

Role Summary

In this role, you’ll be part of a small but impactful team working at the intersection of learning, change, and transformation. You’ll help shape and evolve our training strategy and approach to support colleagues across the organization — from newly launched VCTs to experienced, operational teams deep in the flow.

You’ll work closely with lean-agile coaches (our subject matter experts), transformation leads, and learning professionals across TRATON Group R&D.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supporting the implementation and continuous evolution of our lean-agile learning roadmap
  • Collaborating with SMEs to co-create relevant, engaging, scalable learning solutions (classroom, self-study, LxP, etc.)
  • Strengthening partnerships and collaboration with key stakeholders (e.g. Framework Team, OnePDP, TMS, Competence & Training leads, Transformation Leads, Communication Team)
  • Making learning offers more visible, accessible, and learner-friendly
  • Helping refine how we structure and deliver learning across the transformation journey
  • Act as Product Owner (PO) for the Training Team — prioritizing needs, aligning with stakeholders, and steering the team’s backlog
  • Contributing to shaping a culture of continuous learning and lean-agile thinking — helping individuals and teams grow, adapt, and deliver real value

Who You Are

We’re looking for someone who’s curious, collaborative, and driven by impact. You might not know everything about lean-agile (yet), but you know how to help others learn — and that’s what matters most.

Here’s what we believe will help you thrive in this role:

  • A strong background in learning & development, with proven experience and results in complex or transformation-driven environments
  • A strategic mindset and ability to see how learning connects to the bigger picture
  • Experience or readiness to take on a Product Owner role — with strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to prioritize needs, align across teams, and drive delivery
  • Familiarity with lean-agile ways of working (a plus, but not required to be an expert)
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and a proactive approach to learning and trying new things
  • A practical mindset — able to prioritize, follow through, and make things happen
  • A growth mindset and a strong belief in people’s ability to learn, adapt, and lead change

This Is Us

Our team consists of dedicated and supportive colleagues who work together in a dynamic and challenging environment. We focus on fostering team spirit and enjoy using each other as sounding boards to bring new perspectives to our discussions. As a manager I want the people in the team to feel challenged while at the same time being confident in our collective ability to deliver on these challenges. I encourage all team members to find areas where the business need meets their own interest in professional growth.

The team should be a safe space to discuss issues and test new ideas with the fundamental principle that diverse perspectives make the team stronger.

Within TRATON Group R&D, you are an important part of something bigger. Joining us means gaining access to the ins and outs of the entire transportation industry. As part of a global team of industry experts, you get to think bigger, experience more, and reach further. Being bigger also means being stronger. Together with our brands, we have the collective power to transform transportation.
