Role Summary
Do you want to contribute to the shift toward more sustainable transport solutions on a global scale? Join our Range Prediction & Mission Execution team at Transport Efficiency within TRATON Group R&D. We develop embedded services that help vehicles make intelligent decisions, optimize energy usage, and execute their missions efficiently. You’ll work in a team that values knowledge sharing, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Job Responsibilities
• Develop services for embedded systems within the domain of range prediction and mission execution
• Work with C++ and Python in modern development environments
• Collaborate in an agile, cross-functional team with a global perspective
• Contribute across the full development cycle – from concept and architecture to implementation, test and deployment
• Explore new technologies and methods that push sustainable transport forward
Who You Are
You are someone who enjoys working together with others to solve meaningful challenges. You may be early in your career or bring several years of experience – either way, your curiosity and willingness to grow will be highly valued.
We believe you’ll thrive in this role if you:
• Are skilled in C++ and have solid knowledge of Python
• Enjoy teamwork and are happy to share your insights and learn from others
• Bring a global mindset and a drive to solve real-world problems
• Are curious, adaptable, and solution-oriented – you’re not afraid to try, learn, and improve
• Hold a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, IT, Machine Learning, or Software Engineering
It’s a plus (but not a requirement) if you also have:
• Experience with Git and CI/CD workflows
• Worked with agile methods, DevOps and modern development practices
• Experience in the transport sector or electric vehicle industries
• Exposure to cloud environments or embedded software
• Skills in MATLAB/Simulink
• Additional languages such as German, Swedish, or Mandarin Chinese
