Data analytics specialist at Communications

Scania is undergoing a transformation from being a leading supplier of trucks, buses, and engines to providing complete and sustainable transport solutions. Together with TRATON and our sister brands MAN, Volkswagen Truck & Bus, and International, we are working to shape the future of mobility with innovative and environmentally conscious solutions. Our values – customer first, respect, team spirit, responsibility, and elimination of waste – are at the heart of everything we do. Together, we are at the forefront of creating a sustainable future.

At Scania Communications and Sustainability, we enable the company’s purpose – to Drive the Shift – through clear, strategic and engaging communication. Our Communications Development team guides and empowers the organisation to meet tomorrow’s challenges. Now, we are looking for a Data Analytics Specialist to lead a one-year assignment that lays the foundation for how we work with data and insights across marketing and communications.

Role Summary

This is a key role with both strategic and hands-on responsibilities. In this one-year assignment, you will:
•    Design and establish a scalable, secure and user-friendly data infrastructure that enables insight-driven decision-making across communication and marketing.
•    Develop structured, efficient ways of working with data and insights, ensuring consistency, accessibility and usability across teams.
•    Build clear workflows for how data is collected, stored, visualised, and shared across the Communications function.
•    Act as project lead for the development of a brand analytics framework – facilitating the process and aligning stakeholders – while collaborating closely with internal experts in brand, marketing and research.
•    Ensure statistical robustness and data integrity throughout the project, and support the evaluation of potential third-party solutions.
•    Support the transformation toward a more systematic and insight-driven way of working within Communications.
•    Collaborate with stakeholders across Communications, Commercial Operations, R&D and IT to align technical needs and business requirements.

Who You Are

We are looking for a purpose-driven and solutions-oriented professional with the ability to connect data, people and strategy. You bring:
•    A Master’s or PhD in data science, statistics, marketing analytics, or a related discipline.
•    At least 8 years of relevant experience in data analytics, data architecture, or business intelligence, preferably in large or complex organisations.
•    Strong skills in data engineering, modelling, visualisation and interpretation.
•    Proven ability to structure and lead complex development initiatives with multiple stakeholders.
This assignment offers the opportunity to directly contribute to how Scania builds a smarter, more insight-led and cohesive brand. Your work will help shape how we make decisions, plan activities, and measure long-term impact – all while enabling a sustainable shift in transport.

Application

Your application should include a CV and any relevant certificates. We welcome all applicants and strive for diversity in our recruitment processes.

Apply as soon as possible, no later than 2025-04-27. Screening will take place on an ongoing basis during the application period. Logical and personality tests may be used as part of the selection process, and a background check may be required for this role.
