Role Summary

Position: Marketing Communications Employee

Location: Accra, Ghana or Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire

Reports to: Sales & Marketing Communications Director

 

Your Role:

As Marketing Communications Employee, you will coordinate, plan and supervise marketing communication activities that support the business objectives in tight collaboration with business areas and markets.

You will: work with all external and internal communications for the Company, safeguard the Scania brand, and ensure the relevancy and consistency of messages towards the selected target groups.

The role contributes to the development of the marketing communications strategy, delivering on connected activities with the main objective to increase the awareness and consideration towards the overall Scania brand and its selected products and services.

Job Responsibilities

Marketing Communications

Contribute to the development and delivery of marketing communications campaigns across all media to support the business plan and increase sales.

Marketing Planning

Contribute to the development of tactical marketing campaigns.

Marketing Campaign Development

Carry out supplier and contract management tasks to support advertising/promotion/other marketing campaigns.

Marketing Execution

Deliver specified outcomes and provide others with expert advice while working within established marketing programs.

Promoting Customer Focus

Assist with the development of internal communications and work collaboratively with colleagues to build strong external customer relationships and meet customer needs.

Leadership and Direction

Explain the local action plan to support team members in their understanding of what needs to be done, and how this relates to the broader business plan and the organization's strategy, mission and vision; motivate people to achieve local business goals.

Internal Communications

Help others get the most out of internal communications systems by offering support and advice.

Sustainability

Lead the Scania Sustainability agenda through targeted activities and communications to both internal and external customers.

Budgeting

Monitor and analyze data using budgeting systems and protocols.

Performance Management

Prioritize own workflow and ensure work is completed to the required standards of productivity, quality and timeliness; use performance management systems to improve personal performance.

Organizational Capability Building

Provide instruction and informal advice to less experienced colleagues within the team to develop their skills.

Your Profile

We see that you are self-driven and motivated. Your personal competencies include strong communication skills, digital communications expertise, initiative and resourcefulness, and you're result oriented as well as customer focused. 

As part of your general competencies, you have business perspective, you understand the use of digital tools and use them proficiently, and you have a strong grasp on the use of information technology. 

You are proficient in English and French (written and spoken).
