Role Summary
The Quality Engineer plays a key role in ensuring high product and process quality by supporting daily production activities, solving quality issues, improving inspection and measurement methods, and driving effective corrective and preventive actions. The role helps build a strong quality culture based on ownership, data-driven decisions, and continuous improvement. Working closely with Production, Engineering, R&D, Supply Chain, Supplier Quality, and Laboratory teams, the Quality Engineer contributes to delivering reliable products and improving manufacturing performance.
Job Responsibilities
Key responsibilities in this role:
- Monitor product and manufacturing process quality, identifying improvement opportunities and ensuring compliance with quality requirements.
- Lead root cause investigations and drive corrective and preventive actions to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.
- Support production teams in solving day-to-day quality challenges and making data-driven decisions.
- Participate in quality planning for new products, manufacturing processes, and engineering changes.
- Develop and improve inspection and measurement methods, including the use of CMM equipment.
- Analyze quality and production data to identify trends and improve product quality, process stability, and manufacturing performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Engineering, R&D, Supply Chain, Supplier Quality, and Laboratory functions.
- Support audits and contribute to the continuous improvement of quality systems, standards, and practices.
Who You Are
- University graduate in a technical field, preferably Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in a quality-related position within a manufacturing environment.
- Practical experience in quality problem solving, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and relevant standards, particularly ISO 9001; knowledge of IATF 16949 (ISO 14001 is an advantage).
- Practical knowledge of quality tools and methodologies, including 8D, FMEA, SPC, MSA, 5 Why, and Ishikawa.
- Very good ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation.
- Knowledge of dimensional and geometrical tolerancing (GD&T).
- Practical experience in operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
- Experience with ZEISS CMM systems is preferred and knowledge of ZEISS CALYPSO software is a strong advantage.
- Ability to analyze and interpret measurement reports and use measurement data in quality investigations and decision-making.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes and production quality principles.
- English language skills at minimum B2 level, enabling effective communication in an international working environment.
