Handle cartons and pallets to process merchandise coming into and going out of the fulfillment center. Job duties could include stocking (locating and removing pallets of merchandise in storage locations), and loading (loading cartons onto pallets and pallets onto outbound trailers). Distinguished from general fulfillment center worker by being responsible for providing work direction to fulfillment center workers and support the training of new associates.
Job Responsibilities
Operating Machine or Equipment
Operate semi-complex equipment and machines, prioritizing routine tasks to improve efficiency and adjusting multiple related variables to resolve production problems.
Operations Management
Carry out operational tasks by following established processes. This will involve adjusting multiple settings or parameters to meet performance standards.
Incoming Goods
Deliver simple warehouse and store tasks to ensure all goods and supplies are stored and recorded following established procedures.
Outgoing goods
Complete routine packaging tasks and assist others by following established procedures under supervision.
Equipment Maintenance and Repair
Carry out standard maintenance and repair activities under detailed guidance. Troubleshoot basic technical or operational problems by applying previously defined solutions.
Administration
Conduct data entry into company systems, and review and verify the information to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
Work Scheduling and Allocation
Organize own work schedule each day in line with changing priorities.
Operational Compliance
Follow a range of mandatory procedures to ensure that work is carried out to the required quality standards and/or to ensure adherence to external regulatory codes and internal codes of conduct.
Personal Capability Building
Develop and maintain excellent procedural or technical skills by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching.
