Parts Supervisor

Role Summary

The main responsibility of the Parts Supervisor is to manage and develop the parts business in a cost efficient and profitable way. The Parts Supervisor ensures a healthy stock level that meets the needs of the end customers and the workshops and contributes to a profitable business with well-defined targets. This is achieved by a high level of parts availability and part sales.

Competencies – these will be tested in the interview should you be shortlisted:

  • Manage Parts strategy and business – Implement and develop the parts strategy, in order to maximise the profitability within the parts business
  • Manage Parts customer relations – Build and develop new and existing customer relationships, ensuring availability and prices are being met and delivered to a high level of quality
  • Manage Parts Operations – Run the Parts operation in a commercial way, fulfil both internal and external customer needs and expectations with the right parts delivered at the right time, maximizing uptime for the customer and profitability for Scania
  • Manage Parts Operations compliance – Work accordantly to standards, regulations and requirements, comply with policies and procedures, completion of documents and records and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness within the workshop

Applicants must meet these minimum requirements:

 
  • Matric Certificate
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Previous experience in automotive industry/warehouse environment
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Computer Literacy
