Role Summary
This role is a 40/60 blend of:
- user support onsite and remote – providing basic and advanced user assistance, handling hardware installation and troubleshooting, and ensuring end-user systems run smoothly
- Infrastructure, security, and projects – working closely with the IT Manager on implementing infrastructure changes, security initiatives, and supporting IT audits
You will be the go-to technical expert in the local office, while also contributing to regional projects, infrastructure improvements, and compliance efforts. Regional support considers around 10% travel across region on annual bases, as per needs.
Key Responsibilities
User Support (approx. 40%)
- Provide advanced L1/L2 technical support for users (on-site and remote)
- Install, configure, and maintain laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues quickly and effectively
- Support Microsoft 365, Teams, and business-critical applications
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs and replacements
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including equipment preparation
Infrastructure, Security & Projects (approx. 60%)
- Administer and maintain Windows Server, Active Directory, Intune, and SCCM
- Troubleshoot and optimize LAN, WAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and firewall settings
- Participate in IT security initiatives including vulnerability management and patching
- Support IT audits (ISO 27001, TISAX) and maintain compliance documentation
- Assist in planning and executing infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and rollouts
- To communicate with vendors and be single point of contact in-between internal global teams and vendor's representatives
- Ensure compliance in purchasing process, including but not limited to budgeting internal and external licenses, hardware, etc.
- Assist IT Director with planning and budgeting process, communication with functions Heads, cost tracking, reporting
- Training of employees or key stakeholder groups
- Work closely with global IT teams to align with Scania standards and policies
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in IT support, system administration, or infrastructure roles
- Hands-on L2/L3 support experience, including hardware installation and maintenance
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft platforms (Windows OS/Server, Microsoft 365, Teams)
- Strong knowledge with Active Directory, Intune, SCCM (or similar tools)
- Solid networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls)
- Practical understanding of IT security practices and audit processes
- Familiarity with ITIL (Incident, Request, Change Management)
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
- Organizational capability in working with large amount of data, communication with function Heads under increased time pressure, clear prioritization
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
- Willingness to travel regionally as required
- Valid driving licence
Preferred
- Relevant certifications (Microsoft, networking, ITIL, security)
- Experience in the automotive, manufacturing, or logistics industries
- Direct involvement in ISO 27001 or TISAX compliance projects
