Accountant

Scania Leasing d.o.o. is a company operating within the TRATON Group, active in Slovenia since 2009, specializing in the financing of SCANIA vehicles. Due to an increase in business volume, we are inviting a new, ambitious colleague to join our team in the position of Accountant.

Job Responsibilities

• Control and reconciliation of accounting records and entries in the general ledger (including invoice verification, VAT reconciliation, and all account controls)

• Posting supplier payments and preparing payment orders in the e-banking system

• Maintaining the fixed asset register and providing support in day-to-day accounting operations

• Preparing and assisting in the preparation of reports (Intrastat, IOP, NBS, AJPES, etc.)

• Participating in internal and external audits and preparing the required documentation

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a university degree or at least a secondary education in accounting or a related field, who has a strong understanding of financial statements and fluency in business English.
Proficiency in MS Office tools, especially advanced Excel skills, is essential.
Candidates with experience in banks or other financial institutions will have an advantage.
We are seeking an individual with strong analytical skills, who demonstrates independence, precision, responsibility, and reliability in their work.
