Role Summary

Join Global Finance Operations within Corporate Control as Accounting Manager – SAP S/4HANA Units, based in Södertälje. In this role, you will be responsible for accounting and reporting activities within designated SAP S/4HANA units while leading a team through an exciting period of transformation and system implementation. You will ensure high-quality financial deliveries, support statutory accounting activities for a number of legal entities, and play a leading role in the SAP S/4HANA rollout. The position combines operational leadership with strategic responsibility and offers the opportunity to contribute to the continued development of a modern, efficient, and future-proof finance organization.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team within Accounting & Reporting, ensuring high-quality accounting and reporting deliveries to local finance organizations.
  • Take the lead role as business owner for the SAP S/4HANA solution currently being implemented within the organization.
  • Support statutory accounting activities for several legal entities, including annual reports, income tax returns, and tax calculations.
  • Ensure compliance with established accounting processes, policies, regulations, and reporting requirements.
  • Actively participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities as well as the resolution of complex accounting matters.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of global finance processes in line with the Scania Way.
  • Lead employees and operations through organizational and system-related changes, promoting engagement and knowledge sharing.
  • Serve as a member of the Accounting & Reporting Management Team within Global Finance Operations and contribute to strategic initiatives, target achievement, KPI follow-up, and compliance with standards and governance requirements.

You are a confident and people-oriented leader who combines strong accounting expertise with the ability to lead change and transformation. You enjoy working in an environment where operational leadership, continuous improvement, and strategic development go hand in hand.

 

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Several years of experience within accounting and/or controlling.
  • Proven experience leading and developing teams.
  • Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting processes.
  • Solid knowledge of IFRS and Swedish GAAP.
  • Experience driving change, process improvements, and organizational development.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
  • Experience working with SAP, preferably SAP S/4HANA, is considered an advantage.
