Aftersales Development Manager, based in Istanbul, Turkey
Role Overview
We are looking for an Aftersales Development Manager with a strong commercial background to enhance our distributor’s service development. This role focuses on improving and implementing Scania global service strategy, methods and tools to boost customer satisfaction and retention. The ideal candidate will have extensive managerial and leadership experience, practical knowledge of service operations, a proven ability to drive improvements, and success in business development. The candidate should be comfortable working in both the boardroom and on the workshop floor and adept at identifying market opportunities. Strong communication skills are essential for engaging diverse stakeholders, and the candidate should be accustomed to handling demanding customers. Familiarity with Scania’s business model is important; fluency in English is required, speaking Turkish and/or having experience in a foreign environment is a plus. The role also requires occasional travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Aftersales Strategy Development: Shape and implement strategies to enhance aftersales performance and customer satisfaction.
- Pricing & Commercial Strategy: Define and implement a pricing model to increase market penetration and profitability. Manage commercial conditions for the service portfolio and ensure understanding of current and future products.
- Service standards & methods: Responsible for implementing standards and methods, ensuring they are consistently followed across the entire organization
- Service Portfolio Development: Expand the contracted service portfolio to ensure long-term profitability.
Qualifications
- Experience: Extensive experience in a commercial role within a Scania retail and/or distributor organization.
- Proven Success: Strong track record in business development, particularly in launching new products and services.
- Familiarity with Scania’s Business Model: Understanding of Scania’s operational and commercial frameworks.
- Ability to Convince and Motivate: Capable of promoting Scania’s way of working and inspiring others to embrace it.
- Customer Engagement: Comfortable and experienced in dealing with demanding customers and managing their expectations effectively.
- Language and Cultural Adaptability: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Turkish or experience working in a foreign environment is a plus.
