Role Summary

As an Assortment Manager within Parts Pricing & Product Assortment, you will play a key role in ensuring a competitive and sustainable spare parts offering throughout the product lifecycle. You will be responsible for spare parts pricing, assortment maintenance, and business-critical decisions related to product phase-out and obsolescence management.

In this role, you will balance customer needs, business objectives, and operational considerations while working closely with stakeholders across Scania's global organization. Through your analytical mindset and business understanding, you will contribute to strengthening both customer value and Scania's aftermarket performance.

 

Job Responsibilities

Spare Parts Pricing

  • Manage the pricing flow for spare parts and set recommended retail prices (RRP) according to established pricing principles.
  • Analyze and define pricing for parts where pricing principles are not established.
  • Support pricing updates and continuous improvements together with relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage special pricing requests towards internal customers and remanufacturing suppliers.

Product Assortment Management

  • Maintain and develop an active spare parts assortment aligned with product roadmaps and business requirements.
  • Drive and coordinate phase-out activities and assortment optimization throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Balance customer demands with cost, logistics, and operational considerations in assortment-related decisions.
  • Handle and prepare phase-out requests and support obsolescence management activities.

Business Development and Process Improvement

  • Participate in business projects related to pricing and product assortment. 
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of pricing and assortment management processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Parts, Logistics, Sales, Services, and other Scania functions to ensure effective business solutions.

Who You Are

  • University degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or another relevant field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Several years of experience working within pricing, product management, assortment management, aftermarket, supply chain, or a related business area.
  • Strong analytical capability and experience working with data-driven decision making.
  • Ability to understand the commercial impact of pricing and assortment decisions.
  • Experience working cross-functionally and managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Good communication and influencing skills.
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken.
  • Experience from retail, aftermarket, or spare parts business is considered an advantage.
