Business Analyst for Scania Procurement

Scania Procurement is responsible for purchasing of products and services for all of Scania's units in the world, with the Head office located in Södertälje.

Scania is seeking a highly skilled and driven Business Analyst to join our global procurement function. This role is perfect for an experienced professional who thrives in a fast-paced, international environment and is ready to make an immediate impact. As a key member of our team, you will provide crucial financial insights and analyses to support strategic decision-making across our global procurement organization.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Analysis & Supplier Evaluation: Conduct in-depth financial assessments of suppliers, particularly high risk suppliers
  • Request financial data, analyse reports and engage with supplier’s key finance representatives
  • Present findings and make recommendations
  • Develop and implement mitigation strategies in collaboration with responsible Purchaser and/or Sourcing Manager.
  • Support for Negotiations: Provide comprehensive financial evaluations to assist negotiation preparations and participate in negotiations when required.
  • Financial Risk Management: Proactively analyse the financial health of suppliers to identify any risks
  • Supply Chain Financing (SCF): Serve as an expert in SCF to guide the organisation of the possibilities with the program
  • Collaboration Across Functions and within the TRATON group: Work closely with departments such as Risk Management, Treasury, and Finance
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvement initiatives and contribute to the development and delivery of internal training programs.

 

What We Are Looking For:

  • Educational Background: Master’s degree in Business Administration or Industrial Engineering with a focus on finance.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in financial analysis and/or business control
  • Technical Skills: Expertise in Excel and PowerBI for advanced financial modelling and reporting.
  • Analytical Excellence: Strong ability to analyse complex data sets, draw insightful conclusions, and present them clearly to executive-level stakeholders.
  • Communication & Leadership: Confident, with excellent communication skills and the ability to influence decision-makers at all levels.
  • Confident and solution-oriented approach, with the ability to take initiative and lead where required.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is essential for this international role.
