Role Summary
Join the Mission Execution team within Transport Efficiency at TRATON Group R&D. We operate with a startup mentality inside a global organization: delivery-focused, curious, and fast-moving. Our team develops intelligent embedded services for driving efficiency, ADAS-related decision logic, and mission planning, enabling vehicles to execute energy-efficient and predictable transport missions.
We work with a customer-first and UX-research-driven approach, using early prototypes, rapid feedback loops, and customer pilots to shape the solutions that go into vehicles across the TRATON brands.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop vehicle on board services in modern C++
- Implement and extend Adaptive AUTOSAR applications within mission execution
- Interface between real-time embedded systems, cloud applications, and cross-platform Adaptive AUTOSAR components
- Work in a highly cross-functional environment spanning driving efficiency, ADAS, routing, energy optimization, vehicle testing, and cloud engineering
- Contribute across the full development cycle: concept, architecture, implementation, testing, performance validation, and deployment
- Use early pilots and customer feedback to validate ideas quickly and guide development
- Explore and evaluate new technologies that advance sustainable and intelligent transport solutions

Required:
- Skilled in modern C++
- Solid experience with Python
- Hands-on experience with Adaptive AUTOSAR
- Comfortable working with cloud-connected applications
- Motivated by fast learning cycles, UX insights, and customer feedback
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar
Bonus experience:
- Linux containers and container tools (Podman, Docker, etc.)
- Enterprise Linux (e.g., Red Hat)
- CI/CD pipelines and modern C++ tooling
- MATLAB/Simulink
- Driving efficiency, ADAS systems, or energy-aware vehicle control

Our focus is on driving efficiency, ADAS-related mission logic, range prediction, real-time decision and supporting planning services used in daily transport operations.
