Role Summary

Scania BID (Brand Identity Development) is Scania’s R&D function for trucks, ensuring that our products meet customer needs, differentiate the brand, and create a distinctive user experience. The Business Development and Strategy team within Scania BID is now being established to develop ways of working, drive the functional strategy, and support the BID management team in strategic matters. This is a great opportunity to shape the functional strategy and collaborate with other Scania and TRATON R&D functions.
As a Communication Manager, you will play a key role in shaping and implementing the communication strategy for Scania BID. You will drive clear and engaging communication, both internally and externally, ensuring alignment and impact throughout our transformation journey. This is a unique opportunity to influence how we communicate change, strengthen our brand, and engage with key stakeholders across Scania, TRATON, and beyond.
Job Responsibilities
As a part of the Scania BID Business Development and Strategy team, you will collaborate closely with Scania CTO, BID management, and stakeholders across Scania and TRATON R&D.
Your role will involve:
• Developing and executing a communication roadmap to ensure clear and consistent messaging.
• Translating complex topics into engaging and accessible communication for different.
• Aligning communication efforts across BID, ensuring consistency in branding and messaging.
• Driving live events and internal engagement initiatives, bringing creativity and innovation into audiences our communication channels.
• Coaching leaders and teams in presentation techniques to enhance their communication impact.
• Ensuring that employer branding is embedded into all BID communication efforts.
• Monitoring and adapting communication strategies to fit the evolving needs of BID’s transformation.
Who You Are
We are looking for an experienced and proactive communicator who thrives on making an impact.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
• A strong background in communication (minimum 5-8 years), ideally in a technology-driven environment.
• Strategic thinking with a hands-on approach – you can develop high-level messaging while also ensuring execution.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills – you can collaborate effectively across all levels, including senior leaders.
• A structured and organized mindset, with the ability to navigate complex projects and drive alignment.
• A passion for innovation in communication – you are not afraid to challenge traditional ways of working.
• Fluency in English and Swedish (additional languages such as German or Portuguese are a plus).
