Role Summary

 

As a Cybersecurity Expert for Scania Special Vehicles, you will play a key role in ensuring the cybersecurity of Scania’s vehicle systems, supporting both civilian and military applications.

You will work closely with engineering teams to analyze, evaluate, and strengthen system security across the vehicle architecture. The role combines technical cybersecurity analysis with structured documentation work, following automotive industry standards such as ISO 21434.

This position requires a strong understanding of how vehicle systems operate, enabling you to identify vulnerabilities, perform threat modeling, and ensure that security requirements are properly defined and implemented across the development lifecycle.

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Perform cybersecurity analysis of vehicle systems to identify vulnerabilities and risks
  • Develop and maintain security-related documentation in line with industry standards (e.g. ISO 21434)
  • Evaluate vehicle system architecture from a cybersecurity perspective, ensuring protection against potential attacks
  • Conduct threat modeling activities, particularly for military and special vehicle applications
  • Define and support implementation of cybersecurity requirements across the development lifecycle
  • Ensure compliance with relevant automotive cybersecurity standards and regulations
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate cybersecurity into vehicle systems and processes
  • Build a deep understanding of Scania systems and processes to assess and improve security robustness
  • Contribute to strengthening cybersecurity practices within the Special Vehicles domain

Who You Are

 

We are looking for a Cybersecurity expert with a strong technical background and the ability to see the big picture. You should have experience with programming in ISO21434, understanding of automotive embedded software development, and the ability to interpret customer requests and propose solutions. You should have an entrepreneurial spirit, taking initiative and responsibility for your work.

 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience with the automotive software development lifecycle and embedded systems
  • Proficient in both Swedish and English, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead complex technical assignments and coordinate across multiple domains
  • Strong systems thinking with the ability to see the big picture and dive into technical details
  • Knowledge in export control and handling defence systems is an advantage
  • Experience in Scania vehicle systems at a real-time platform (CRISP)
  • Experience with automotive cyber security (ISO 21434 and UN-ECE R155) is mandatory
  • Experience in automotive functional safety (ISO 26262) is highly desirable
