Role Summary

As a Data Engineer in the Rangers Team within Transport Efficiency you will play a key role in building the data foundation for predictive range functions across all TRATON brands. You will work closely with embedded, cloud, and analytics teams to develop scalable data pipelines, features, and data products that enable range prediction, auxiliary optimization, and driver-support functionality. In this role, you help shape a new, modern data environment powered by Snowflake and AWS, influencing both architecture and ways of working. Your contributions directly impact vehicle performance, energy efficiency, and become a direct contribution to the Traton brands sustainability work to meet science-based targets.

Job Responsibilities

· Developing scalable data pipelines and data products in Snowflake.

· Creating clean, reliable datasets and features used in predictive modelling and embedded functions.

· Supporting the integration of data products into AWS-hosted vehicle efficiency functionality.

· Ensuring high data quality, governance, and observability across data flows.

· Collaborating with engineers working in C++, Python, Simulink and cloud services to align data and functionality.

· Contributing to the development of a new, flexible data environment and evolving our data-driven practices.

Who You Are

You are a mid- to senior-level Data Engineer who enjoys working across data, cloud, and embedded domains. You thrive in collaborative environments and want to see your work make a real impact on vehicle performance and energy efficiency.

We believe you will succeed if you:

· Are skilled in Python and experienced with Snowflake or similar data platforms.

· Have experience with AWS and GitLab-based CI/CD workflows.

· Can work effectively with teams developing embedded functionality in C++.

· Bring a structured approach to data quality and reliable data delivery.

· Are curious, collaborative, and motivated to strengthen our data-driven development.
