Field Quality Engineer with focus on product and customers

Scania is undergoing a transformation from being a leading supplier of trucks, buses, and engines to providing complete and sustainable transport solutions. Together with TRATON and our sister brands MAN, Volkswagen Truck & Bus, and International, we are working to shape the future of mobility with innovative and environmentally conscious solutions.

Our values – customer first, respect, team spirit, responsibility, and elimination of waste – are at the heart of everything we do. Together, we are at the forefront of creating a sustainable future.

Role Summary

Do you want to work in a global environment where the customer is always in focus? Then you have found the right place! Now you have the chance to influence Scania's reputation in the field of quality for electrification.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about understanding and helping our customers around the world. By engaging in dialogue with the aftermarket, visiting customers and workshops, observing vehicles, and combining this with warranty and vehicle data, we build cases to improve the product and assist our customers. We act as the customer's voice towards Scania and as Scania's voice towards the aftermarket.

Job Responsibilities

  • Analyze and act on trends in warranty data for the truck's electrical system.
  • Evaluate reported quality issues.
  • Assess the impact of quality issues on end customers and Scania as a whole.
  • Perform analysis of articles and customer vehicles.
  • Analyze operational data, among other things.
  • Present deviations to Scania's product managers and development departments.

Who You Are

The work is independent and outward-looking, which means you should easily create new contacts and be able to plan and organize your work. Close contacts with the market, development departments, and suppliers are a large part of everyday life. The position also involves some travel within Sweden and Europe, mainly for inspections on customer vehicles.

We also believe you need the following points to succeed in this role:

  • good written and verbal skills in English and Swedish, other language skills are meritorious.
  • experience working with electrical systems/electrification in the automotive industry.
  • master's degree in engineering with a focus on electrical systems.

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds – your unique experience and perspectives are valuable to us.
