Financial Controller - Central Controlling

Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses, and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

The objective of the Finance and Business Control function in Sales & Marketing is to support and enable profitable and cost-efficient business activities that deliver customer value. We focus on measuring and setting volumes, profitability, and expense targets within Sales & Marketing functions. The department is responsible for business navigation through performance analysis and follow-up of S&M's global activities to support operations and to initiate corrective actions to fulfill common goals. The function carries out several activities within all finance functions such as financial controlling, business controlling, analysis, accounting, and reporting as well as special assignments and business cases.

We are now looking for an ambitious Financial Controller with a product focus, who has a solid financial background and a keen interest in learning and supporting our business areas within Scania Sales & Marketing. As a financial controller, you will also have an important role in driving process changes and support the KC organization. You will report to the Head of Central Control (KCX) and will be part of a team of four colleagues located in Södertälje.

Main responsibilities

• Actively participate in book closing, forecast, and budget activities, with emphasis on coordinating and supporting the business controlling teams in the organization
• Analyze and conduct product-specific reports with a focus supporting the Scania strategy of becoming a Leader in Sustainable transport and driving the shift
• Lead the work of improving our financial processes, methods, and systems at KC
• Perform quality control and validation of existing reporting systems

Who are you?

As a person you are responsible, organized, and have a problem-solving attitude. You are good at converting needs into clear goals and deliveries for yourself and surrounding interfaces. Strong communication skills both written and oral. It is also considered a merit if you have an interest or knowledge in product control.

You have an MS in Economics and Business Administration or MS in industrial engineering. You are fluent in English, both spoken and written. Knowledge in HFM/Smartview, Microsoft Office, good general IS/IT competence, and good knowledge in accounting.
