Group Compliance Officer

This role will give the right candidate the possibility to influence and further develop the Legal & Compliance organisation and work cross functionally in an international environment by taking own initiatives and at the same time respect Scania’s well-established values and corporate culture.
Group Compliance is part of the Group Legal & Compliance function. Group Compliance supports the global Scania organization in reducing compliance risks by providing knowledge and advice in terms of policies, guidelines or trainings and by setting up respective structures and processes within the area of competition law, anti-corruption, AML law and business and human rights.
We are now looking for a Subject Matter Expert / legal counsel with focus on Competition Law. This role will give the right candidate the possibility to take the lead and develop the way of working with, but also offer the unique opportunity to address, competition law related risks and topics from a holistic and operational perspective in all Scania activities. The role will also partially support our Group Legal Affairs function. You will also be the team manager for the Group Compliance Program Office in which you will lead and support a team of 6 dedicated and experienced colleagues, who are specialists in different legal areas. You will also work closely with colleagues within Group Legal and Compliance and other stakeholders in Scania’s global organisation, as well as within the TRATON Group.
The position is based in the Scania Headquarters in Södertälje, Sweden and there is a possibility for hybrid working.
Your main responsibilities
- provide guidance to Scania’s global organisation on competition law related risks and operational issues
- manage our competition law policies and training materials and oversee their implementation
- create and provide trainings and communications within the competition law field to Scania’s global organisation
- provide legal advice on all kinds of competition law topics that arise within Scania’s global organisation e.g. in relation to supply or distribution of products and services, as well as in transactions and in development of new business models,
- support the organisation with identification and management of relevant competition law risks, including regulatory watch
- support and develop a culture of compliance and integrity
- coordinate and work closely together with other functions on different compliance topics
- Team Manager of the Group Compliance Program Office and lead to support the Chief Compliance Officer in the development of the department in terms of work methodology, tools and strategic direction
Profile

Requirements
- academic legal background and experience from an international company or law firm
- A minimum of 5 - 7 years’ experience with competition law, preferably as a legal counsel or as a second line of defence role in the commercial sector
- Experience in digital and data driven ways of working
- experience in leadership and management
- Fluency in both written and spoken English, additional language skills are advantages
- The position may require international travels
