Role Summary

 

As Regional Internal Auditor for Scania Commercial in Europe South West, you will plan and execute internal audits across commercial processes and operations in a broad international region. You will assess risks and controls, identify opportunities for improvement, and provide practical insights to management. The role covers the following markets: Black Sea, East Adriatic, France, Iberica, Italy, Germany & Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and BeLux. You will work closely with regional management, business units, Global Functions, and colleagues across Group Internal Audit.

Job Responsibilities

 

• Lead the full internal audit process, from risk assessment and planning through fieldwork, reporting, and follow-up.

• Evaluate commercial processes, risks, and controls, and communicate clear, constructive, and actionable recommendations.

• Contribute to the annual audit risk assessment and audit planning process for Scania Commercial.

• Develop and apply data-driven audit techniques, using analytics and visualization to improve audit coverage and insight.

• Build trusted relationships with stakeholders, collaborate on complex regional and global assignments, and support knowledge sharing and team development.

Who You Are

 

  • You have a degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • At least eight years of audit experience, including three or more years in internal audit. Automotive experience is an advantage.
  • A professional certification such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) is an advantage. Other relevant qualifications, such as CISA, ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent, are also valued.
  • You are analytical and comfortable working with complex information. Experience with Power BI, Python, SQL, ACL, IDEA, or similar data analytics and visualization tools is highly valued.
  • Experience auditing commercial and operational processes is an advantage.
  • You communicate clearly, build effective relationships, and can adapt your approach when working with stakeholders from different functions, cultures, and levels of the organization.
  • You are structured, proactive, and willing to challenge existing ways of working while maintaining a constructive and collaborative mindset.
  • English is Scania’s working language, and excellent English skills are required. Additional language skills are considered an advantage.
  • The role involves international travel of up to approximately 25% of working time.
