This role requires someone who values professionalism, understands the significance of their contributions, and is committed to maintaining a high standard of excellence. As an Investment Analyst will be a key contributor to the investment process, responsible for sourcing, evaluating and supporting investments. You will work closely with senior investment professionals to conduct market research, due diligence, build financial models, and assist in portfolio monitoring. The role will be exposed to all aspects of venture capital investing. This position is critical to identify, evaluate, and execute strategic investment opportunities that align with Scania's long-term business goals.
Your Key responsibilities will be
• Deal sourcing and market research. Actively source and evaluate investment opportunities through networking, industry events, internal networking, and market research.
• Conduct in-depth analysis on emerging sectors, tech, and trends to identify tech. tipping points and disruptive trends.
• Track and monitor key developments in the startup ecosystem and bring relevant opportunities to the attention of the investment team.
• Due diligence and financial analysis. Assist in the due diligence process by conducting analysis on companies, markets, competitors, and financials.
• Build financial models, evaluate financial statements, and assess business metrics to help determine investment potential.
• Support the development of investment theses, all parts of the investment transaction, and recommendations for internal investment committees.
• Portfolio monitoring and reporting for non-controlled investments. Provide insights into portfolio companies’ growth and operational progress.
• Assist in gathering and analyzing key performance data, monitoring key metrics, and identifying trends that may impact the portfolio.
• Assist with reports and periodic updates to internal stakeholders.
• Work closely with senior investment professionals to prepare materials for investment committee's, meetings.
• Develop and maintain relationships with entrepreneurs, co-investors, and industry experts to expand Scania’s network.

Who are you
To be successful in this role, you will possess excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail. You will enjoy working in a venture and financial environment, having strong prioritization, time, and workload management skills.
We believe that you have:
• Several years of experience from a similar position
• International experience by living and working abroad.
• Previous end-to-end experience from Venture capital investments and/or working with senior leadership
• Degree in business, economics, engineering, computer science, or related field.
• Strong interest in the startup ecosystem, technology, and innovation with a desire to learn about investing.
• Experience with financial modeling, market research, and due diligence.
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to build financial models, assess business viability, and evaluate growth potential.
• Self-starter with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• A passion for working with entrepreneurs and a keen interest in understanding how disruptive tech shape industries.
