Thesis Objective
The objective of this thesis is to analyze operational vehicle data and derive valuable insights into how the 24V battery system is used in commercial vehicles.
The study will focus on understanding energy consumption and power demand patterns in real-world vehicle operation. The findings will help establish a baseline for future product development and improve our understanding of battery usage, energy management, and potential misuse scenarios. The generated insights will also support the development of data-driven strategies and predictive maintenance models for the vehicle electrical system.
Job Description
The thesis will combine theoretical analysis with practical data processing and visualization.
Your work will include:
- Collecting and analyzing data from vehicles equipped with battery monitoring systems.
- Classifying vehicles based on operating conditions and usage patterns.
- Investigating driving profiles and related data concerning vehicle startability, operation, idling, and hoteling functions.
- Developing MATLAB scripts for data processing and analysis.
- Filtering and extracting relevant information from large datasets.
- Creating visualizations and performing statistical analyses of the collected data.
- Establishing a structured dataset that is easy to interpret and use for future studies.
Expected Deliverables
- MATLAB scripts for data processing and analysis.
- Visual representations of battery usage, energy consumption, and power demand.
- Statistical analysis of collected vehicle data.
- Recommendations and conclusions based on the findings.
Education / Program / Qualifications
