Role Summary
We are looking for a driven controller to join the central Production & Logistics (P&L) Inventory & Material Controlling team as the current employee is moving on to new challenges within Scania. The team is a part of Industrial Control, located in Södertälje.
The material accounting and control team (VFM) consists of nine employees and together we support a majority of the European production units with material and inventory controlling & accounting. We’re also responsible for the consolidation of the European and Global material cost and stock with analysis of outcome as well as forecasting. Our goal is to be an agile and efficient finance organization that meets the needs of the business through harmonization and digitalization.
Job Responsibilities
As the Material Controller for SEU (Scania Europe), you are responsible for the overall picture and understanding of Scania’s material cost and stock value in SEU. On a monthly basis, you will consolidate and analyse the material cost outcome split on trucks, buses, power solutions, and components. You will be responsible for estimating and analysing future cost development, both on a short and long-term perspective. You will act as a point of contact for material and stock-related questions and provide ad hoc analysis as well as support in projects. We strive to be data-driven and use PowerBI modules to support us in all aspects of our work.
The role has many interfaces, both to other team members within VFM as well as other functions at Scania. You will work tightly with the material controller for SEU running the bookclosing and forecast processes together. Close cooperation with other departments such as Purchasing, Sales & Marketing, Research and Development, Corporate Control among others is essential to perform the job well.
Who You Are
We are looking for an analytical and independent team member to help take our insights and analysis to the next level. You are structured and organized and can coordinate processes and projects. You have a solid grasp of the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Knowledge of PowerBI and/or Hyperion Financial Management is a plus, a willingness to learn is a requirement.
We see that you most likely have a few years’ experience in controlling or similar. You have an MSc in Economics and Business Administration and/or MSc in Industrial Engineering. You have good communication skills and are fluent in English, both spoken and written.
