Within the Scania BID organization, Technical Product Planning is now being established.

We are now looking for Portfolio Managers to our Portfolio Management Team, that has a key role in transforming Scania´s business targets into an effective and balanced product portfolio. It is a challenging task and we´re looking for several individuals who can make a difference – are you in?

 

Role Summary

The team is responsible for safeguarding that Scania´s business targets are met through an optimized product portfolio and will align the portfolio content regularly to the BID management, BVT forums and occasionally to Scania ExBoard. Our business is based on Scania as provider of complete vehicles with properties, functions and services that our customers will yearn for.

 

The portfolio is expected to reflect those unique factors that will bring profit to Scania as a premium brand for years to come. The team of portfolio managers will focus on maximized benefits while minimizing costs and risks for each initiative/project in order to optimize the overall portfolio value.

 

The work is cross-functional by nature and an important part of the assignment is to capture and understand different perspectives and priorities in the organization, and compiling them into balanced recommendations to our stakeholders. The team will lead the Portfolio forum where input from Sales & Marketing units, Group R&D, Property managers as well as Use Case analysts are important contributions to the final conclusions. Info sharing with the Project Office will also give important clues to the complete picture.

 

Job Responsibilities

•    Taking ownership of Scania´s product portfolio – monitoring the portfolio performance with regards to customer value and timing, evaluating resources vs. value of proposed projects, leading the Portfolio forum and making sure that key topics are handled in a timely manner
•    Providing – directly or through collaborations – scenario-driven visualizations and illustrative material that gives insights on consequences on business targets 
•    Aligning the portfolio content with the stakeholders through regular briefings and effective communication 
•    Building and maintaining close relations to collaborating units and roles within Scania and Traton
•    Establishing a way of working where data, analyses, roadmaps and presentations are documented and archived with structure and transparency


Your Profile

We are looking for someone who combines strong analytical skills with excellent communication and collaboration abilities. You excel at building relationships, delivering clear recommendations, and are driven by the desire to enhance Scania as a brand for current and future customers. We also believe you have many of the following qualities:


•    You have natural leadership qualities, a solutions-oriented mindset and the ability to handle diverse opinions with servant leadership skills
•    You have experience from strategic work and are comfortable with handling complex data and technical dependencies.
•    You have experience from getting your message across to higher management level
•    You are knowledgeable of Scania’s products, systems and components and of our PD process
