Pre-sales Engineer Charging Management Systems to Erinion
Are you seeking the opportunity to be part of a growth journey that can really change an industry? Are you passionate about making a sustainable impact in the world of electric transport? Do you thrive in an innovative and entrepreneurial environment? Then you might be the person we are looking for as new Pre-sales Engineer at Erinion!
At Erinion, part of the Scania Group, we are leading the global shift towards a more sustainable transport system. E-mobility is changing the way the transport industry works, and Erinion’s goal is to shape the way of doing and running business within the industry.
Your role
Software solutions will have a central role in the new e-mobility world. We are now seeking to complement our internal software team with a dynamic Pre-Sales Engineer. In this role, you will play a critical part in driving adoption of our software solutions for management of heavy-duty vehicle charging sites. You will collaborate closely with our sales team, customers, and product development to articulate, demonstrate and deliver value in the form of tailored solutions that meet customer needs.
Our software stack centers around a world-class Charging Management System (CMS), but in order to solve the customers' challenges and drive electrification, a "systems thinking" approach needs to be taken. To fully deliver value, the CMS needs to operate within a broader ecosystem of third-party software and hardware — such as energy and fleet management systems, EV chargers, and on-site battery energy storage systems. Together with our customers and the rest of the team you will be able to influence our future offer in the area.
The team working with, or in near proximity of, our software solution has a background in energy, transport and charging as well as a deep understanding of software, hardware, ecosystem innovation and product development.
Your responsibilities
- Articulate value opportunities for customers with supporting capability roadmaps for realization
- Work closely with customers and internal teams to understand goals, context and needs — and translate them into software-centric proposals, solution designs, and executed account growth initiatives
- Lead CMS and software-related aspects of RFxs
- Develop and conduct powerful demonstrations in a customer context
- Actively work to enhance the CMS offering by providing feedback to product development
- Develop a pre-sales "toolkit" with demonstration capabilities, sandboxes, analytics tools etc. to support various stages in the sales journey
- Lead post-sales implementation projects with key accounts to ensure successful operation of CMS in customers’ IT environments
- Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings in e-mobility, energy and transport
Your Profile
We’re looking for a pre-sales engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment. You combine technical expertise with a strong business mindset and partner closely with customers and internal teams. You’re comfortable designing solutions within complex environments that include third-party hardware and software systems, adapting to shifting priorities, and turning customer challenges into scalable solutions that drive Erinion’s mission forward.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in software-focused pre-sales or technical sales
- Extensive experience working with software solutions integrated into ecosystems of third-party hardware and software
- Ideally, you bring deep knowledge of electric vehicle charging and e-Mobility — especially in heavy-duty transport applications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a customer-centric approach
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences as well depth to "stand up" in more technically detailed discussions
- Fluency in English is required. Swedish is an advantage, and additional languages such as German, French, or Dutch are a plus.
