Project Coordinators, Scania Project Office
Scania is undergoing a transformation from being a leading supplier of trucks, buses, and engines to providing complete and sustainable transport solutions. Together with TRATON and our sister brands MAN, Volkswagen Truck & Bus, and International, we are working to shape the future of mobility with innovative and environmentally conscious solutions.
Our values – customer first, respect, team spirit, responsibility, and elimination of waste – are at the heart of everything we do. Together, we are at the forefront of creating a sustainable future.
Role Summary
We are expanding our team with three Project Coordinators focusing on Release Stop Coordination, SOP Planning and Portfolio & Decision Support. Each role plays a key part in how Scania brings new products into industrialization and ensures clarity across complex project flows.
We welcome applicants from different backgrounds, levels of experience and perspectives. Whether you come from production, customer-facing roles, planning or R&D, your unique experience can strengthen our team.
Job Responsibilities
As Project Coordinator, you help create structure, connect information and support decision-making. You gather and visualize data, prepare meetings and follow-ups, and make sure that timing, risks and maturity are understood across the organization. You will work closely with project managers, engineers and cross-functional teams, and contribute to creating flow in Scania’s project portfolio.
Depending on your focus area, the work may involve coordinating Release Stop cases and their progress, building detailed SOP plans to support industrial readiness, or turning R&D and project data into clear insights and management material. In all roles, you help make complexity understandable and support others in succeeding with their deliveries.
Who You Are
You are structured, curious, and eager to learn. You enjoy turning complexity into clarity and helping others succeed. You don’t need to know everything from the start, support will be provided although you should be confident learning new systems, tools, and methods quickly.
You collaborate naturally with Project Managers and understand how to support without taking over ownership. You ask good questions, spot gaps, and think in flows and systems – not just tasks.
We believe you have:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering – your technical interest is more important than your specific field.
- A genuine interest in structure, logic, and project flows.
- A methodical and analytical mindset and you build arguments and insights from data.
- Strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint for communication, planning, and presentations.
- Experience working in OnePDP swimlanes or cross-functional project roles.
- Good understanding of product development and industrial processes.
- Full professional proficiency in English; Swedish is an advantage.
This Is Us

As a Project Coordinator, you are part of a team that works close to both R&D and industrial operations. You help visualize progress, risks, and maturity, support informed decision-making, and contribute to balance and flow across Scania’s project portfolio. Together, we create the conditions for projects and teams to succeed.
