Role Summary
This role is a part of TRATON Group R&D, located in Södertälje, Sweden
We are looking at expanding our team with a Requirement manager to meet future challenges in the automotive industry.
We need to supply industry-leading performance and functionality to keep our position as a leader in the heavy-duty market. Currently, we are delivering our control system to several companies within the TRATON Group that are based in Sweden, Germany, and the U.S.
The powertrain domain is technically complex and developed to the best performance and standards on the market. The systems in this domain are key to the function, performance, and environmental impact of our products.
Job Responsibilities
The organization is very skilled and experienced so working with the organization on these complex topics will challenge and develop you as an engineer. You will contribute to the overall safety and Cybersecurity of Scania’s vehicles by working with requirement management and requirement engineering related activities for the development of powertrain control systems.
Main tasks for the role:
- Manage and create safety/Security-related functional and technical system requirements. Interfacing with safety manager, Cyber-security manager, architects and HW/SW engineers, you'll be responsible for collecting and configuring safety-related system requirements within our requirements management tool (Polarion),as well as managing changes to those requirements
- Requirements analysis: Using Polarion, you will be responsible for structuring and organizing the requirements to ensure clarity and completeness. You will lead requirements analysis and review activities with the cross-functional teams, and develop and maintain traceability to both stakeholder requirements and HW/SW requirements
Who You Are
You are passionate about the safety topics, and have very good communication and collaboration skills. We work with multiple parallel deliveries so you are good at creating an overview and structure for all the deliveries. You are also a curious analytic person and you are motivated by responsibility and enjoy solving problems in a structured way. You are able to drive topics independently.
Prior experience in working with automotive system and design experience for requirements capture and management is required. You have good competence in the usage of requirement management tools such as DOORS or Polarion, for the management of requirements. You also have experience of Functional Safety ISO 26262 in product development projects and experience in key safety analysis processes such as FTA and FMEA is meriting. Knowledge in concept of safety monitors in software and hardware is also meriting.
You are a graduate engineer who can express yourself both verbally and in writing in English. The ability to speak Swedish or the willingness to learn is advantageous. C/D driver's license is also meriting.

The team consists of 14 engineers with different roles such as System Owners, Functional Safety Managers, Safety Engineers, Requirement Manager/Engineer, Cybersecurity Manager and Cybersecurity Engineer for the Engine and Aftertreatment Control Systems, which are one of Scania’s most advanced real-time control systems. We are responsible to make sure that we meet Functional Safety standards and comply with Cybersecurity legislations in different markets such as EU, China and US.
