Role Summary
Group Risk Management is an enabler, providing the business and our stakeholders with support, risk intelligence and assurance within risk management and business continuity management to fulfill strategy, achieve business objectives and targets, build resilience and fulfil regulatory requirements. This shall be done in a systemized, effective, and sustainable way that enables Scania to maintain focus on its core business and customers.
We are now looking for two Risk Managers.
Sustainability is at the heart of Scania’s strategy, as such it is integrated in everything we do. This means that we at Group Risk Management have a high focus on the sustainability agenda and the regulatory requirements that follows. As a Risk Manager you will not only be part of driving the sustainability agenda but also contribute to build a more robust and resilient Scania. Making sure that we have an integrated and efficient approach in how we meet requirements and support our operations. You will act as an advisor to management, here your communication skills, ability to provide actionable risk intelligence and deep knowledge within risk management will be key to your success. Data analytics and the development within AI for risk management will be a big part of your way of working. The roles will includes a responsibility as a super user for the Scania’s risk software solution. Experience from hands-on work with business continuity and/or from the sustainability field will be seen as an advantage. You probably have experience from and an understanding of risk management from an organization with global production, procurement and logistics foot print. Operating in a very complex business environment where geopolitics is natural part of the risk landscape.
Job Responsibilities
- Drive and support integration of risk management into our processes, both strategically and operationally, to support decision-making.
- Provide thought leadership, guidance and training, including direction and support on applying the framework, share and communicate insights and perform trainings
- Actively uphold and work for continuous improvement of the risk and business continuity management framework, including governing and guiding documents, the processess and applied methodologies.
- Liaise with the Group Business Continuity Manager in building a more resilient Scania
- Cultivate, maintain and develop a close cooperation with senior management and the risk community within Scania, TRATON and Volkswagen
- Analyse, aggregate and monitor group-wide risk exposure, identify and assess risks relevant for escalation and facilitate mitigation activities for cross-functional and group-wide risks
- Facilitate, support and conduct complex risk and scenario assessments, both qualitative and quantitative. Based on both internal and external risk intelligence.
- Through reporting, monitor and follow-up developments of risk exposure and execution of risk response plans
- Report according to requirements set by Scania, TRATON and Volkswagen, such as quarterly risk report and urgent risk notifications
- Contribute in the fulfillment of requirements set by the owner, or through legislation, on risk management and human rights.
- Drive and/or actively contribute to the development of data analytics and use of AI with risk management and business continuity management.
- Define and execute upon strategies and target
Who You Are
- You have a bachelor or master degree in Risk Management, Engineering, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Your experience in risk management, business continuity, audit, compliance, controlling or a related discipline within a corporate, strategic, financial, or consulting environment gives you a deep understanding of this area.
- In your work you have a proven track record of providing actionable advice and risk intelligence to senior management in a clear and structured way.
- You have a proven record of successful designing, developing and implementation of methods, standard solutions and best practices within risk and sustainability management or from another relevant field.
- We hope that digitalization is something that excites you and that you have experience from working with risk management software and data analysis tools
- A high proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite is expected, especially Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- It will also help you in your work if you have experience from business continuity and/or the sustainability field, the frameworks and regulations that governs these areas and the complexity this brings to a global company.
- It is a requirement to be fluent in both written and spoken English.
As a person, you are curious, have very good analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, spot trends, and communicate findings clearly and persuasively with the customer in focus.
You know how to communicate with different stakeholders, with an ability to engage and influence at all levels.
Hopefully you have proven project management abilities and experience leading cross-functional teams, this include the ability to drive decision making, facilitate change and resolve issues diplomatically.
With a high integrity and an open-minded approach you are handling your tasks and takes initiatives beyond the ordinary. If sustainability and/or business continuity is new to you, you are willing to learn a lot within this area.
