Senior Health & Safety Engineer for Governance Safety

Position Overview
In this global role, you will be part of a dedicated team where ideas and innovation are encouraged. You will focus on statistics, reporting, specifically within CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) and governance. This is an exciting opportunity to influence and shape the role as you contribute to Scania's work environment strategies.

Some of the main responsibilities will include:

  • Provide expert knowledge on a global level in compliance with current legislation, policy, and methods, ensuring adherence to relevant guidelines and regulations in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Work with ISO 45001 to ensure a high standard of safety management.
  • Responsible for reporting related to CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) from a Health & Safety perspective, along with other relevant legislation.
  • Develop, provide, and analyze statistical data in the field of work environment.
  • Collaborate with Scania stakeholders and brand colleagues.
  • Actively participate in internal networks and work cross-functionally within global and local structures.

Qualifications

  • Senior-level Work Environment Engineer, or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • Competence in ISO 45001 and its implementation and maintenance within large organizations.
  • In-depth knowledge of legal compliance frameworks and regulations, including CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive).
  • Strong experience in data analysis and reporting related to work environment compliance.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work with stakeholders across different levels and locations.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage multiple priorities, and drive collaboration across departments to achieve safety and compliance objectives in a global environment.
  • Experience in developing organizational structures and processes.
  • Proven experience in method development.
  • Knowledge of European and Swedish Health & Safety legislation.
  • Fluent in English and Swedish.

Meritorious

  • Strong analytical skills to interpret legislation and provide actionable insights.
  • Certified Auditor in ISO 45001.
  • Proficiency in relevant IT tools and pedagogical tools.
