TRATON is transforming from a traditional supplier of trucks, buses, and engines into a provider of complete and sustainable transport solutions. As part of this transformation, we are strengthening our team within Measurement Technology.  

 

About the Team  

The Test Cell Development & Service section is responsible for the development and support of test and measurement systems. Our main customers are testing departments at Scania Technical Centre (STC) and project teams within our own TGRPP department.  

We are now looking for a Measurement Engineer to join the Measurement Technology group, currently consisting of 13 employees and external consultants.  

  

Role Summary

As a Measurement Engineer, your mission is to ensure that STC has access to the right measurement technology and expertise to meet the needs of development teams. Metrology is a key part of our responsibility to ensure high-quality measurements and traceability.  

 

Your responsibilities includes:  

  • Managing metrology commitments in both our lab and testing environments 
  • Ensuring traceability of reference standards and calibration-required equipment 
  • Maintaining and developing calibration procedures and annual plans 
  • Participating in feasibility studies and implementing new measurement concepts 
  • Supporting product development with a strong focus on measurement accuracy and traceability  

Your Profile

We are looking for a proactive and service-minded individual who thrives in a structured environment and adapts easily to change. You have a positive attitude toward challenges and support colleagues and customers constructively.  

 

You are analytical, creative, and communicative, with a strong interest in automotive technology.  

 

Required qualifications:  

  • B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience 
  • Solid knowledge of measurement technology and technical drawings 
  • Experience in method and procedure development 
  • Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 17025 
  • Fluent in both Swedish and English
