Role Summary
We are looking for a skilled Senior Project Manager with at least 10 years of experience in implementing new IT solutions together with new Business Processes to join us on our exciting journey. We are currently undergoing significant transformations in our Production & Logistics (P&L) operations and the accompanying IT Solutions, as we embrace the opportunities brought by digitalization.
Our business architecture and IT solutions should be an enabler for our P&L business to take on new challenges and opportunities within our global production system. Our vision is to have an efficient, transparent, and automated global production system, using modern digital solutions to connect people, processes & equipment to support real-time decisions based on high quality data.
Job Responsibilities
As a Project Manager you will be driving the implementation of updated business processes along with new IT solutions at our Production Units. You will be a part of the implementation of the future for Scania.
You will be responsible for the Project Plan and for the execution of that plan which includes co-ordination of all the deliveries from different sub-projects.
You will work closely together with our Business Architects and Solution Architects as well as the receiving Business at our Production Units.
As a member of our Industrial IT department, you will actively participate in our department's development and improvement initiatives, contributing to our collective progress.
Who You Are
- Self-driven, curious team player with a strong interest in implementing new business processes and IT solutions.
- Solid knowledge and experience in project management within this area.
- Skilled in facilitating meetings; structured, pedagogic, and communicative in your approach.
- Strong social and analytical abilities, with a habit of taking initiative to create and maintain effective structures.
- Willing and able to travel as the global implementation roadmap requires close collaboration with teams worldwide.
- Master of Science in Engineering, a university degree in Information Science, or equivalent knowledge.
- Able to work effectively at the intersection of business and IT, understanding both perspectives.
- Strong knowledge of PDM/PLM, ERP, and MES IT solutions, as well as production and logistics business processes at Scania.
- Fluent in Swedish and English, with extensive experience working in international and cross-functional organizations.

Global Industrial Development is a unit within Production & Logistics (P&L) at Scania. The unit supports the operational sectors of Chassis & Cabs, Powertrain as well as Logistics. One of the responsibilities within the unit is Industrial IT.

You’ll have an individual development plan created together with your manager to support your growth, as we embark on several major initiatives over the next five to six years that will shape our future business architecture and IT solutions.
Our future IT Landscape consists of three main cornerstones within PDM/PLM, ERP and MES. All efforts are part of the NOVA (New Order to delivery Architecture) Program, which receives high attention and expectations from Scania's top management.
