We are seeking a skilled Software Developer with 3+ years of experience, focusing on development of test- and integration solutions for automotive and embedded software applications. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, collaboration in cross-functional teams, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
About Us
VTAB (Virtual Truck and Bus) is a cutting-edge Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) simulation platform developed in-house at Scania and used across the TRATON Group. VTAB enables high-fidelity, closed loop testing of complex embedded systems software integrated with a wide range of vehicle models, all executed on an engineering laptop or in the Cloud.
We believe in transforming vehicle software development by bringing simulation to the forefront. Our vision is to provide every engineer in the TRATON ecosystem with accessible, scalable, and reliable simulation tools from early design to validation and release.
Key Responsibilities
· Build and maintain robust SW testing frameworks and test environments to support development of complex SW systems and embedded solutions
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and configure software for automotive ECU applications
· Maintain and improve version control and development workflows, ensuring CI/CD pipelines run reliably and efficiently
Key Competence
· Python: Strong proficiency in Python with hands-on experience developing backend systems
· Git (GitLab): Solid understanding of version control principles using Git, with hands-on experience in GitLab (or similar platforms)
· SW testing and test environments: Practical knowledge of test platforms/test environments tailored for embedded and/or automotive systems
· CI experience: Proven experience building and maintaining Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines
Valuable skills
· AWS: Familiarity with cloud services for scalable infrastructure, storage, and deployment
· Dockers: Knowledge of containerization for simplifying deployment and ensuring consistency across environments
· Linux: Proficiency in working with Linux environments for development, testing, and deployment
· C/C++: Experience in developing efficient, low-level applications and understanding embedded systems programming
· Simulink experience: Ability to use Simulink for model-based design, simulation, and validation of control systems
· Automotive applications (ECU integrations and configuration): Understanding of automotive software design, integration and configuration processes for Electronic Control Units (ECUs)
