Supplier Quality Assurance - Scania Procurement

Scania is undergoing a transformation from being a leading supplier of trucks, buses, and engines to providing complete and sustainable transport solutions. Together with TRATON and our sister brands MAN, Volkswagen Truck & Bus, and International, we are working to shape the future of mobility with innovative and environmentally conscious solutions.

Our values – customer first, respect, team spirit, responsibility, and elimination of waste – are at the heart of everything we do. Together, we are at the forefront of creating a sustainable future.

Do you enjoy resolving issues before they arise? Can you easily switch focus when something urgent requires your attention? If you are curious, communicative, technically interested, analytical, and believe there is always room for improvement, then this position is something for you!

Job Responsibilities
In this position, you will collaborate closely with your procurement colleagues to build and manage the quality performance of your supplier base within the chassis component area, including aftermarket and special vehicles.

In this role you will be an important contributor when it comes to:

  • Selecting capable suppliers from a quality perspective
  • Follow up the quality assurance work during the industrialization of new projects
  • Ensure that suppliers deliver according to specification by using agreed methods
  • Monitor supplier quality performance and act proactively on negative quality trends
  • Work with suppliers to continuously improve the quality of parts in production
  • Resolve field quality issues to re-establish the normal situation

You will engage and collaborate with several cross-functions, organizations and management levels. Both internally and with our suppliers. This position presents an excellent opportunity to blend interpersonal skills with technical expertise.

The position require some national and international travel (0-25%). The extent of this varies dependent on situation and needs. Many of the tasks can be managed remotely, and trips can typically be planned to accommodate your personal calendar.

Who You Are
You have a positive yet realistic approach to problem-solving and work in a structured way, managing both your own tasks and following up on cross-functional and supplier deliveries. You are curious, eager to learn, and believe in continuous improvement. Surrounded by experts, you focus on asking the right questions rather than having all the answers. You enjoy solving problems, learning from mistakes, and communicating clearly to build strong professional relationships and align teams toward common goals. Additionally, we are looking for candidates who possess:

  • An academic degree or other relevant education/work experience
  • Fluent skills in English (spoken and written)
