System Architect for Scania Workshop Suite
Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
What we do
We at Vehicle Service Information (EYS) are passionate about Uptime and Serviceability. We enable our workshops to be best in class in supporting our customers when they come in for a workshop visit.
Daily, 16,000 Technicians maintain, troubleshoot and repair Scania vehicles and engines worldwide.
To make sure our workshops can deliver world class services, we develop the tool suite SWS, Scania Workshop Suite. It’s a microservice based cloud solution with a web frontend. It’s mainly written in C#, Angular and JS. SWS is hosted in AWS . SWS interacts with Scania’s inhouse developed PDM system and together with our digital twin data provide the information and services the workshops need to excel. The solution also make use of edge computing and vehicle communication hardware developed internally.
Your Assignment
The development team consists of around 12 cross functional sub teams with a DevOps approach. As a System architect you will be the bridge between the teams and the enterprise and solution architects.
You will be the chairman for the architecture community of practice and make sure that the services developed are possible to maintain and deliver the right performance. As the solution consists of multiple micro services, it’s important that the architecture and standardization make them work together. You act as a coach for the teams when they implement, but also work pre-emptive to make sure our architecture vision and technology align with the business goals.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who has great commitment to lead the system architecture development in our solution. You have a vision for the architecture, founded in theory and experience. You work as an informal leader to realize it, and you do that with respect for the individuals involved. You have a positive attitude and find it energizing to engage with many contact points. In your work, you will need extensive cross-functional collaboration where communication skills will be very important.
We believe that you have a master’s degree in computer science and are fluent in both English and Swedish. We also believe that you have several years’ of experience developing cloud based solutions, preferably with an architect role. Experience from the automotive industry and embedded systems is meriting.
What we offer
A flexible work environment in a hybrid setup where we expect you to be at the office at least 3 days a week. A place to grow, learn and have fun while you do it.
We can also offer other benefits such as free exercise at Scania’s own facility in Södertälje or wellness allowance, performance bonus, occupational pension, flexible working hours, lunch at reduced price, the opportunity for a staff car and much more.
