Role Summary

 

The responsibility of Group Product Management, GPM, is to balance the commercial needs with solutions for the customers and steer the funding of capabilities to reach the result defined by TRATON Executive Board.

In the Group Product Planning Team, we now search for a Technical Assistant to support the managers in their work. In our team we are responsible for continually optimizing the technology and component roadmaps in the lenses of commercial needs, financial boundaries, R&D capabilities as well as the TRATON strategy. On top, we are orchestrating the monthly product decision cadence (PDCs) which means continues alignment with all cross functions (Brands, R&D, Production, Finance etc.) are essential. The Technical Assistant will have a central role in facilitating and supporting the team’s efforts to manage and drive the product planning forward.

 

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  •  Assist and support the management team in various aspects of Product Planning, ensuring smooth operations and effective decision-making.
  • Actively participate in the annual Group Product Management cycle, including the Group Annual Roadmap Review (GARR) workshop and the financial Planning Rounds (PR).
  • Run specific day-to-day alignments with stakeholders on behalf of the Head of Group Product Planning.
  • Create, proofread and/or feedback material for various decision forums.
  • Prepare and organize workshops, team buildings and offsites with the Product Planning Team.
  • Host the Product Governance continues improvements forum.
  • Occasionally, support the Executive Assistant to Head of GPM.
  • Contribute as an integral member of the Group Product Planning Management team, supporting day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives.

 

The role involves extensive stakeholder management with many internal and external interfaces and requires strong coordination and project-oriented working methods.

 

 

Who You Are

 

We are looking for a high-performing individual or an early-career manager with strong ambitions and a drive for excellence. You have approximately 2–3 years of relevant experience, preferably as a Technical Assistant, project coordinator or in a similar role.
You hold an academic degree such as a Master of Science in Engineering, Business Administration or another equivalent education.
You are structured, flexible and action-oriented, with a strong ability to prioritize and drive work forward.


You combine natural leadership capabilities with high level of empathy and strong collaboration skills, and you have the ability to explain complex topics in a pedagogical and accessible way.
