Thermal Management Development Engineer - BEV Powertrain

Role Summary

As a Thermal Management Engineer in the Powertrain Pre-development team, you will play a key role in shaping the thermal systems for our next-generation BEV trucks, tailored to the Chinese market. Your focus will be on system-level design and integration of thermal architecture, combining deep theoretical knowledge with hands-on testing and validation.

 

You will be part of a fast-moving and collaborative team, working from early concept to technical realization with strong focus on performance, cost, and customer value. This role suits someone who thrives on solving complex technical challenges and wants to be part of building something from the ground up. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and develop thermal management system architecture for BEV powertrains 
  • Define system requirements and performance targets for thermal components 
  • Participate in testing and validation – from test bench to full vehicle 
  • Collaborate across battery, e-machine, controls, complete vehicle and production teams 
  • Balance cost, performance, and manufacturability to meet market-specific needs 

Who You Are

You are technically skilled, hands-on and structured, with a systems thinking mindset. 
You have 5+ years of experience working with thermal systems or e-mobility solutions and enjoy combining theory with practice.
You are proactive, communicative, and thrive in a collaborative and international environment.
