The Program
Embark on a 15-month journey of growth, leadership, and global experience—starting 17th of August 2026 at our Head Office in Södertälje.
Here’s what awaits you:
- A full-time position from day one
Your home base will likely be one of our Södertälje offices, with flexibility for remote work depending on your role and preferences. - Four dynamic rotations across Scania—both in Sweden and internationally
Gain hands-on experience through four 2–3 month assignments in diverse departments, including cross-brand collaboration and a Scania Distributor rotation. - Nine weeks of immersive leadership training
Develop your leadership mindset through tailored sessions designed to elevate your impact and confidence with a strong foundation in the Scania Leadership Principle's. - Collaborative projects and networking with fellow trainees
Work on real-world challenges and build lasting connections with peers across the organization. - A dedicated mentor to guide your development
Receive personalized support and insights from an experienced leader throughout your journey. - Shared projects and network assignments with your trainee year group

Minimum requirements to apply for the Young Potential Trainee Program 2026:
- You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related areas within the area of Product Research and Development.
- You have graduated between 2024 and the summer of 2026.
- You have a maximum of 2 years of professional experience within your field of studies at the start of the program.
- You speak and write English fluently and other languages are seen as an advantage.
- You must be an EU/EES citizen or hold a permanent residence permit in Sweden to comply with migration laws, due to the fact that some assignments during the program will take place outside of Sweden for a minimum of three months.
In addition to meeting the minimum requirements, we value candidates who bring extra drive and initiative. Previous leadership experience in student unions, sports clubs, housing associations or similar organizations is highly appreciated, as it shows your ability to take responsibility and inspire others. Having worked part-time in areas such as project management, event coordination, or customer service is also a strong asset. These experiences reflect your ability to collaborate, communicate, and adapt in dynamic environments. Whether you've led a team, organized an event, or supported customers, you've already demonstrated key skills that will help you thrive in our trainee program. We’re looking for individuals who take initiatives and enjoy working with others to make things happen.
Recruitment Process
To ensure a smooth and fair selection process, it’s important that you are ready and available online on the specified dates. All steps will be conducted digitally, and unfortunately, we are unable to offer individual time slots or alternative dates. Your participation during the scheduled times is essential for us to move forward effectively.
- Online Tests: 7–11 January 2026
If selected, the recruitment process begins with a web-based psychometric test who are designed to ensure an unbiased and fair screening. These tests will be sent to all applicants who meet our basic requirements and help us assess your potential and suitability for the program. - Interviews: 22–29 January 2026
If selected, you’ll be invited to a 45–60-minute digital interview where we explore your professional interests and personal competencies. - Assessment Days: 10 or 11 February 2026
If selected, you’ll be invited to one of these dates for a full-day online assessment depending on the business area.
We begin by reviewing your test results, followed by your CV, formal education, and previous experience. A background check may be conducted for this position.

If you currently study outside of Sweden or have a foreign degree from your highest studies, you need to get your degree verified by the Swedish Council for Higher Education. Please visit https://www.uhr.se/ to get recognition for your foreign qualifications. Note that this process can take up to six months. Incomplete applications will not be processed.
